PUBReC has in the past hosted the following training programmes:

• Golden Gate Cloning course by the ENSA project, UK (2017)
• Phage workshop (2018)
• AfriPlantSci workshop (2019).
• AfrIBOP

As an RRC, it is envisaged that such trainings, and additional relevant trainings will be conducted in collaboration with already existing partners to better equip the researchers and postgraduate students working at the Centre. Training courses will include:  Data Analysis using R software, In- field sequencing for plant disease monitoring, field pathogenomics/disease diagnostic training, GWAS (Genome Wide Association Study, to mention a few.
